Help me out in connecting a second PATA hard disk

i connected a second PATA hard disk but i cant boot my computer.''NTLDR missing alt+cltr+del to restart'' is shown.
in BIOS i cant change the hard disk priority and boot priority.PATA hdd is shown havin the highest priority and i cant make my SATA hdd as the first priority
