i need help i am learning how to help the earth tell me some information u know about recycling

Recycling paper reduces the energy required to create new paper and saves trees

Recycling metals are the most important material for us to recycle. Aluminium for example, requires vast amounts of energy to obtain it from it's ore. It only requires a tenth of the energy to recycle aluminuim than it is to get it from ore. Metals such as Copper are running out at an astonishing rate. Ore containing only 1% copper is currently being mined because of the high demand. This is another reason why recycling is so important- it preserves our limited supply of these metals.

If you recycle plastic most of it is turned back into more plastic with pretty much the same energy usage as it would be to get some from crude oil. Plastics that cannot be properly recycled are turned into fuel.

In our modern times recycling is becoming a much bigger market. In the UK scrap metal prices have sky-rocketed. metal is collected, washed and sold to china and india for a very reasonable prices. It is fueling our econemy and helping the earth at the same time

Lets see where I live are garbage company just started a recycling garbage can which will take Paper products(mixed waste paper including sticky note)Magazines&catalogs,Newspaper( including glossy ads)Telephone books,junk mail(including envelopes w/plastic windows)Cardboard,Cereal&other dry food boxes(remove wax liner)Paper bags&Sacks,Frozen food boxes,Milk cartons&juice boxes(risened out),Shredded paper (only in paper bags)Gift wrap(no shine or foil wrapping) Metals-Aluminum And tin cans(risened out)Soda cans,Aluminum foil(must be clean)Pots&pans,Plastics-Dairy tubs(such as butter,cottage chesse,sour cream)Yogurt cups,Plasticjugs(milk,detergent,fabric softener)Plastic jars(peanut butter containers)Plastic bottles(such water,sode,shampoo.this new thing they have started is great I have less garbage and more recyclables. It amazed me how much I was throwing away to the land fields.Hope  that help you a little
