  1. if your doing winter driving start looking at older subaru imreza's/outback impreza's/outback legacy's ,2.5rs's etc. reliable, excelent gas milage, and great for slick roads

i wouldnt touch any of the cars you have listed with a ten foot pole

  2. Taurus or Alero 4 cylinder.

I would not purchase any used car without complete service records.

2.7l Chrysler V6 is EXTREMELY fussy with regards to regular and frequent oil and filter changes - could get expensive if the it has not been taken care of.

The Intrepid is fun to drive, and very roomy, but has not got good long term history.

Grand Am or Alero V6 - 4 cylinder is better fuel economy, and plenty or performance.  And the higher mileage for a newer car indicates fewer start stop cycles which is where the wear occurs.

  3. I would keep shopping.

All things equal, the Saturn ION is the best on the list.

    Second would be the Taurus.

Have an independent mechanic inspect any used car you intend to buy....even if it is 'certified'.  Note it isn't really certified because these cars have too many miles.  They are probably dealer certified, which means nothing without a warranty.

Alero and Grand Am are the same car.  Both are historically awful in terms of reliability and owner satisfaction.

Sebring and Intrepid are old Dodge's, which means they are made horribly.

I would look for something like a 2001 Honda Civic or Subaru Impreza.

  4. well i would choose the 2002 Chrysler Sebring , but as we all know buying cars that weren't made in america will cost you a pretty penny, also parts for them are seriously expensive so if it breaks it going to leave a hole in your wallet. unless you buy something like ford or chevy or any other company that makes in america, that and parts for these types of cars will cost you way less that or forein cars
