  1. i dont know what the other one is but do not get a shitzu. they are not very smart dogs. and are very hard to house train. they pee everywhere. i would go with the other one.....trust the girl with experience.

  2. Wouldn't you rather have a Great Dane?

How about a Papillon?  They are great.  We have 4.  Sooo much fun!

  3. we cant see it... woops. =[. but i like both. shih tzu's can be a bit noisy but overall they are great dogs!!! i dont know much about maltese

  4. I'm a little bit confused.  The one you have labeled as a maltese is actually a yorkshire terrier.  The one you have labeled as a shih tzu is actually a cocker spaniel.

Malteses are actually small white dogs.  They are good little dogs, high energy and pretty smart.  They love to just race around the house.  They are shown with a long coat, but most people have them groomed to have a shorter coat.  They will bark at the door.

Yorkshire Terriers (also called yorkies) are what you have pictured in the first link.  They are cute little guys who can be very energetic.  They like human company, but are often shy of strangers (mostly due to socialization issues like many small dogs).  They can be yappy too and will definitely bark at the door.

Shih Tzus are very common because they are supposedly hypoallergenic.  They come in a variety of colours and are a little larger than the other two breeds already mentioned.  They were originally guard dogs, but are now mainly companion dogs.  They love companionship and are pretty low key dogs with spurts of playful energy.

The breed you have labeled as a shih tzu is actually a cocker spaniel.  These are larger than the shih tzu and  are really playful little guys for the most part.  They were over bred a little while ago and we had some not so good temperaments, but recently the breeding of these dogs has gone down so they are breeding now for quality not quantity.  They are smart dogs and usually fairly quiet breed, but they often have a problem with peeing when they get overexcited ('happy pee').

Make sure you do your research into whichever breed you choose.  You may want to go to breederretriever.com where they have descriptions of all the breeds that are usually very accurate for the breed.  They also have a breed selector under the tools and games option.  You can put in your criteria and they will help you find a dog that suits your lifestyle.

    Good luck!

  5. I would get the first dog. So small and cute!
