Help me pick a father/daughter song?

Question

I'm getting married and struggling to find a song for my father/daughter dance..

i need help picking one but it's really difficult for a number of reasons:

1. my mum and dad split when i was 14 months old

2. he's an alcoholic and I rarely see him

3. he was there for me sometimes when i needed him

at the end of the day he is still my daddy and he is going to give me away but i need a song that is not a typical father daughter one...i know this is hard but i don't feel comfortable dancing to a song that isn't true about the relationship between me and my father...

What about the song Daughters by John Mayer? I think that would be a nice song to dance to. Or, maybe you could use Tiny Dancer by Elton John.
