All the stores in my travelling range have craps so I want to order online (newegg to be specific) but I'm not sure which one I should pick. My current computer is using an NVDIA GeForce FX 5200 video card and I'm looking for something in the $100-$150 range. The problem is I don't know if the card will fit in the slot, I tried GeForce FX 5500 before and it didn't fit so I took the 5200. Can somebody tell me how can I pick a video card that fit my comp. slot? Thank you very much

Heres my spec: Intel Duel Core 4300 @1.8 GHz

Ram: 1Gb

Window Vista SP1

  1. Without knowing the specific make and model of your computer it's difficult to offer a specific suggestion as to what card will physically fit in your machine.  Generally speaking, nvidia uses a fairly consistent numbering system.  Key word.... generally.  A 5200, 6200, 7200, etc are usually the same physical size and should fit interchangeably in the same computer. The size difference comes about when you compare a 5200 with a 5600 (just as an example.)

You might want to visit the support site at nvidia to see if they can offer any specific recommendations.

And if that doesn't work you could try sumbitting your question directly to the nvidia staff for their recommendations.
