Question:

Help me pick a restaurant in NYC near a movie theater!?

Hi all,

I'm looking to find a decent restaurant that's near a movie theater so I can go on a cliched dinner/movie date tonight. Now, the restaurant doesn't have to be right next door to the theater, but something close would be nice. I'm up on the upper west side, so the theaters to consider are all the ones in the Times Square area and then the one near Lincoln Center.

Price-wise, I'd like the total for two to be somewhere between $50-$75 dollars. Entrees in the $12-$20 dollar range. In terms of food-type, neither of us are picky eaters, so anything from steak, to asian cuisine, to mexican, etc. will work. I am having a hankering for Thai today, so if there are any decent Thai places, please do recommend!

Thanks!

  1. The restaurant I love is Daniela's Trattoria, 728 8th Ave, near the corner of 8th and 43rd.  They have fresh baked bread, wonderful Italian, very good service, and all at a very low price (generally under $50-60 for two) for a dinner that includes drinks and dessert.  I have made reservations here, but you really don't need to...they move people through so quickly, there has never been a problem finding a table and quickly getting served.  Ideal for a pre-theater dinner!

  2. How about the AMC Loews Lincoln Square for movies and PJ Clarks accross from Lincoln Center for eats!
