Help me pick an HDTV!?

Question

I want to buy an hdtv flat screen and i know nothing about it...I'm mainly gonna use the tv for videogames and movies. I've heard that i need a 1080px tv for best results with the ps3, is that true? At what size does it make a difference? Also, which brands have the best color and resolution? What should i look for when buying a tv? I'm looking to spend around $1000 even less if possible for a tv around 37"

Laughs...for $1000 you want a gaming FLAT SCREEN?

Start at $2000 for the 120Hz 1080P TV sets out there and you'll probably buy the Sony....

But at $1000 you'll be lucky to buy a Visio (bad choice !)

A better choice is to forget the wall mount concept and get the DLP which won't get burned like a plasma or LCos or LED unit....that will get you what you want for a lot less money than an LCD Flat panel unit....

Sony is always a good brand i live in UK so im not sure how much is 1k dollers so i would recommend anyway : Sony Bravia

If you want a really good TV always buy a Sony LCD 1080P it will last longer, their manufacture warranty is better and has the best of every thing, including sharpness, black and white depth and color scheme But it will cost your more then 1000$. You will notice a diffrence around 40 inch and above by the way

If you want to buy something cheaper at your price range i also suggest SHARP, they have the leading technology in LCD TVs. Buy a 1080p 40 inch SHARP LCD with a black finish, it will go very well with your PS3. Sharp is especially good if your playing video games a lot.

Also do NOT buy an extended warranty, its a scam.
