Help me pick an audition song?

Question

i'm doing an audition for sound of music

and im trying to pick a song to sing thats outside of the musical

i am trying to do part of "wishing you were somehow here again " from phantom but idk if i can pull it off amazingly.

im a soprano but i can go messo tooo

it needs to be a showtune.

Try something from another musical by the same composers. "Out of my dreams" from "Oklahoma" comes to mind.

i was in the sound of music a few years ago. Try to sing something from the sound of music. It will let them compare you to the parts they are looking for.

Stay away from Phantom, the style is different from SOM so it's not really appropriate.

I agree about Phantom with the person above me. Not only that, but it's very over rated.
