Question:

Help me pick my wedding dress.

Ok so this is my start to my wedding dress search. Here is my info. We are both in our 30's and this is my 2nd marriage. Our wedding will be small (about 25 people at the most) in a vinyard in Sept 2009. He will wear a tux. I am 5'5 and wear a size 8 in pants (2 kids so not a flat tummy either) but the challenge is my large bust (DD's). I am fair skinned with red hair. I do not want a fluffy traditional dress. Here is an example:

I like the simplicity of this dress but no oooohhhs or aaaahhhsss. So show me my dress!

  1. that is a simple yet beautiful dress :]

  2. Well I love that dress!  But if you are large breasted then I don't think that would be so good due to the straps.  Here are some options that I think would be nice on you and suit your wedding (from your descriptions!)

  4. I love this! Its fantastic, and its gonna look great even with a large bust because of the low neck line  I suggest you wear a really supportive strapless bra with it, or ask a tailor if he/she can add larger straps to hide a supportive bra. But otherwise its beautiful, I think it should look fantastic.

  5. this dress is amazing.

when i went to look for dresses, i actually looked at bridesmaids dresses. they tend to be a bit more casual/simpler, cheaper, more unique and easier to tailor. plus  you can get them in any color (ie white)

  6. It sounds like you want something intimate yet still very casual. Thus, I have strummed up the following dresses:

I've picked those gowns based on your body type. All of them either have ruching ,which camouflages your tummy, or an empire waist which skims over it. Also, the ones with halter necklines keep The Girls in but the V-neck still shows a bit of tasteful skin. Scoopnecks are also wonderful as they skim over the top of the bust, showing just a peek of skin. ;)

Best of luck and Happy Marriage!!

  11. There are tons of dresses in a similar style - most often listed under destination dresses.

  12. This one could be cool -- no worries about the DD's, and the detailing at the waist would hide any tummy imperfections: http://www.venusbridal.com/detail.php?di...

    Same with this one: http://www.venusbridal.com/detail.php?di...

One like this might be nice, because you could wear a traditional bra with it: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?...

    Good luck!

  13. You don't get oohs or aahs from that dress?? I think it's gorgeous!

    HOWEVER

With DD's you probably will be best with wider straps. so no spaghetti straps or strapless. You need to be able to have proper support to look your best.

    http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns...

With a halter design, you can have more bra support.

    http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns...

This one would be too big for you, but I like the design.

    http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns...

This one is very elegant and simple too.

Or if there's a strapless style that you love, ask about what sleeve caps you can put on them, so you can wear your most supportive bra.

Hope that gives you a few more ideas, and congratulations! =)

what about that one?? its simple and gorgeous ;)

  17. that dress will be good because is not fit for your tummy therefore will not be noticable

  18. that wedding dress is simple s**y and elegant. i like that dress

  19. Good Luck

  20. i think that dress is amazing.

  21. ok this is DEFIANTLY not something u should rely on the internet to do for u even if this is ppl if u really love who u are with hen u wouldn't rely on the internet. U and a friend should go look instead of some random ppl would u like to remember ur dress as ooh some hobo or someone picked out my dress (i know hobos don't have a computer, but that's not the point)  so i think u and ur mom or a friend should go look at a dress! have a happy life!

  22. I LOVE that dress! I would get that one!

  23. What about this one:

    http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns...

The deep V neck will help keep the girls in place

and the draping around the middle will defiantly minimize any imperfections on your body in that area.

  24. I like it but I don't love it. I actually like the one that tb recommended from david's bridal better.
