What are the main events in the book, The Skin In In

This is what it is about:

It's called The Skin I'm in by Sharon Flake. This book is exciting and shows the hurtfulness of bullying. This book is about a girl named Maleeka. She is bullied because of her very dark skin. Maleeka soon becomes ashamed of her own self. She is also teased about the clothes her mom makes for her, since her father died and they now are poor. So Maleeka turns to Charlese Jones, a girl who you don't mess with and who always wants to be in control. Maleeka, who used to be a straight A student, has turned to be a student with falling grades and a teen who does homework for Charlese in return for clothes and the lessening of being teased. Char pushes around Maleeka. Maleeka has to do homework for her, do chores for her, and do dirty work for her. The worst thing is, she doesn't ask her in a nice way. It's a command, and Char makes fun of her too, slapping Maleeka with those cold words of hers. Then a new teacher appears. Her name is Miss Saunders, and she is the new English teacher. She is white, tall, and has a rare skin disease, that makes her have a big blotch of white that spreads halfway across her face. As time passes, Maleeka discovers that Miss Saunders is proud of her skin, unlike Maleeka, who is ashamed of the skin she's in. Time passes more and more, and Maleeka's life changes each and everyday.
