Help me please! Computer trouble with Internet Explorer!

Question

I got a virus, I used SUPERANTISPYWARE to kill it, Internet Explorer became very slow, google search is very slow, never loaded the page, dogpile works fine, only some webpages show up at all. Sometimes it speeds up and slows down erratically. Sometimes when I click on a link, the start bar that runs across the bottom of your screen vanishes for a few seconds, then Internet Explorer says it lost it's internet connection. I run the repair wizard, it says that there's no problem with my internet, and I can navigate to other pages again.

What is going on here?

(I already used CCleaner)

(If this doesn't work, I'm restarting my computer with the installation disk!)

Oh. and what is the difference from using system recovery and reinstalling windows xp?

You need to reformat your computer, or get a beter virus scan. It seems like you haven't cleaned it up. It sounds lke you have to format your computer. It's a pain in the rear I tell you I just did it :(

I think its F12 that I hit to go to a screen and switch it to boot up with the CD instead of Hard Disk. It shouldn't be that hard with you, I don't think you've crashed your computer ;) Like I did. Honestly get your stuff off with a CD or USB drive and format the bugger. :) Good Luck

i think you still have a bug, the diffrence between the 2 is 1 restores to a earlier date and the other completely wipes the whole drive. try using another antispyware program and see what happens
