Help me please asap?

Question

i have decided to go to the bookies today an bet on the horses its my first time and i dont have a clue what to do like how to bet on a horse i no you have to tell the teller what sort of race you are booking and what horse sumber and track number

can some one please give me a example of how 1 would make a bet

e.g

better: hello id like to place a bet on ??

teller: thats fine

better: thank you

that sort of thing but what would be asked by the teller and what information i would have to have about the race get back to me asap please people

Your first time?  Just go and enjoy.  Close your eyes and imagine a number or a name.  Find a horse that lines up to your vision.

This will work as well as anything.

For the first time, just enjoy youself.  

"Two on seven to win."  Two dollars on horse with saddle cloth seven to cross the finish line first.

The last horse I bet on came in first in the Ninth Race.  They  did not pay off on the ticket.  The guy at the window said he could not pay me anything.  His reason?  My horse started running in the Eighth Race.
