  1. Replace weed with something else.

  2. u dont get high anymore cause ur smoking that cheap sh*t

  3. (1) If there is a time of the year that is less stressful for you, that is a good time to start.

    (2) You HAVE to replace it in your life, and exercise is an excellent replacement.  Find an exercise goal that inspires you - like losing a certain amount of weight, training for a long bike race, running a triathlon, or whatever, and focus on that.

  4. yeah i did it cold turkey tho - i didnt find it that hard once i really wanted to do it - just find stuff to do with ur time and steer clear of possible places and people who smoke

  5. go see a doctor.

  6. i've been thru it, it's not easy, it's all will power, there's no thc patch or anything like with cigs..u just have to suffer thru the withdrawls until u don't crave it anymore...good luck

  7. Yeah. For me, I had to change my environment and habits. I quit hanging out with the people I was getting high with and started going to church. I became involved in church and community activities. I found another group of friends after enrolling in college.

  8. Simplest way to stop anything is to simply stop.

    Don't do it anymore.

    Don't buy it.

    Don't borrow it.

Don't hang out with folks who do it.

Don't get into a situation where it is at.

Just simply do not do it.

  9. Good for you! I quit smoking pot about 6 1/2 years ago when I quit drinking. AA really helped me, but there's also a Marijuana Anonymous. They're online too, check them out. It works wonders, and it's really great to have other people who know exactly what you're going through.

  10. Takes 21 days to break a habit so during this time do activities like get up and go for a long walk

Join a gym and tan at the salon

Go to the bookstore and read a magazine/book ~ hang out, make new friends

Maybe find a park to relax in while reflecting your life

You could maybe get a dog to take care of giving you some responsibility and love

Do some sort of Volunteer work ~ takes away from thinking about U all the time

Journal ~ you can do this at the bookstore too

Find some sort of sport you might enjoy or join a band if that is more your style

You may even consider joining a church to meet new friends and have activities which don't consist of dirty bad habits

    Play games on line

Yes, I have been through this and it can be scary to see life w/ clear eyes because you have to actually function but once your brain/eyes and everything clears up you will be surprised at all the AWESOME things life has to offer ~ TIME IS WASTING SO JUST DO IT

I have to be honest ~ when I stopped my bad habit (M) I didn't leave my house for about 3 months except to go to grocery store or an occasional walk while sleeping the first month about 14 hours ~ it was well worth my sanity but I understand some people aren't able to do this so the above are some things that I did when I finally got out of the house

  11. pot probably isn't your only problem... first, pot doesn't create dependencies, but a mental addiction can be created for anything, even just the act of eating. So the first thing you need to do is just stop buying it... and find something else to do when you want to smoke.

the next thing to do is find something that makes you happy, something that you like to do and do it all the time. like running, or reading, or playing an instrument.

  12. You need to get another hobby. What I did is started working out. Once I initally realize how out of shape I was b/c of the smoking and junk food it motivated me even more to stay away from it. Or you could join some type of team. Treat yourself to something you enjoy with the money you save from not buying it (go to a nice resturant). Now its been years since I did it. Surround yourself with people that don't do that and you will be able to find an identity besides that. Check out a local AA or NA meeting if you are really serious about it and maybe see a doctor to ask about medicine that can assist you as well. Once you break the cycle it's not as hard as you think. Good luck.

  13. Honestly, you just have to stop doing it and stop being around others that smoke. You need to keep yourself preoccupied with other activities.

I know someone who is currently going through this. It's hard for the first week or so but it's really all mental. YOU CAN DO IT!

  14. chew gum

  15. Yeah it is very habitual, even though 'they" say that its not addicting. Go for walks, and change who you hang out with, maybe not completely but you know not as often...and go see Pineapple Express!! you could also get caught with it in your pocket by the police and get arrested, that may help.
