  1. too many cooks.....this is when there are more people than is necessary to solve a problem. one good solid idea and one leader is better than several.saves confusion.

a stitch............this refers to something such as a problem you may have. if you deal with it straight away you can solve it before it grows into something bigger and harder to deal with.you could say you would "nip it in the bud" another saying that means the same as "a stitch in time"

  2. Too many cooks spoil the broth -- too many trying to do the same thing make a mess of it

a stitch in time saves nine -- means do it right the first time because if you have to go back and redo it it takes more effort

  3. too many cooks, spoil the broth

This means that where there are too many people trying to do something, they make a mess of it.

A simple thing like a broth  is better when it doesn't have many handscontributing to it.

If too many people work at a task, the end product might be ruined. too many managers cause problems, too many chiefs...

A stich in time save nine

it is better to spend a little time to deal with problems or act right now than wait. If you wait until late, things will get worse, and it will take much longer to deal with them.

Acting on a new task or problem straight away will be less

A rip in a garment may only require a couple of stitches to fix, but the rip will grow and require more stitches if it is left unstitched.

  4. "Too many cooks spoil the broth" is speaking of situations where you have too many people who want to be in charge and not enough people just willing to do what needs to be done. (i.e. "Too many chiefs, not enough indians")

"A stitch in time saves nine" speaks of how a problem should be handled right away before it gets worse. (If you have a small tear in a piece of clothing and sew it up right away it would take only one stitch. But if you ignore it, before you know it the rip is bigger and it will take nine stitches to mend)

  5. I think it means that by rying to weasle or cheat your way out of things you wont succeed it spoils the broth and a stich in time is implying that you should be prepared and take responsibility for yourself before its too late for example get a good job so you can support your family you must go to school

    But thats all my opinion
