what can you suggest a song for me? i'm 13 yrs old and my voice is slim but high..its for an audition..

I'm a theatrical composer and musical director. I'm assuming you're auditioning for a musical theatre show, so my suggestions are all from musical theatre. It's always best to sing a theatre song for a theatre audition rather than a pop song you've heard on the radio. My suggestions:

1. CASTLE ON A CLOUD from Les Miserables. Sung by Cosette, the little girl. It is high but wistful in tone and therefore doesn't require a big voice to be effective.

2/ THE GIRL I MEAN TO BE from The Secret Garden. This song requires a young voice but is determined in tone, but doesnt require a belt-type voice,

3. MAYBE from Annie. This is a bittersweet little ballad from Annie that can be very effective with a smaller voice.
