  1. Yahoo has a dictionary online.

  2. It take a colossal amount of nerve to ask us to do your homework. I do find it rather amusing, in a sad sort of way, that you cannot figure out how to use a dictionary to get the definitions for these words. You are definitely sculling around the edges of academic dishonesty! It's funny, I witness surges of cheating -- it seems at times kids hang by a slender thread to honesty. So, start with a clean canvas and do your own homework.

(P.S. I can't believe you don't know the meaning of such words as 'slender'. That's not even amusing, it's really sad.)

  3. colossal - huge, gigantic.  King Kong was a colossal creature.

amusing - funny, entertaining.  The Simpsons on tv are amusing

sculling - a type of rowing.  The British Olympic team won the heat in sculling today. The form of rowing was spectacular.

surges - the waves surged over the pier during the storm.

slender - thin, narrow, unlikely.  The chance of the football team winning the championship was slender.

canvas - a type of material, mat - The ship's sails were made out of canvas.  The artist painted a beautiful landscape on the canvas.
