Can anyone tell me about online education? What is it? Who does it? Why people do it? What kind of technology is used for online distance learning? Actually I want to do some courses by distance learning and I don’t have much idea. Please help me in this matter.

Online education is a way of taking classes using computers. Often, people who are too busy or too far away from universities enroll in online classes.

Generally, you need a computer with an internet connection and basic applications (like Word, an email program, Internet Explorer, etc). Online classes are different from each other... sometimes, you might do things like post on online chatboards to talk about what you are learning. You might watch videos of the teacher talking.

Just make sure that if you sign up for online classes that they are through an accredited university. Otherwise, your credits might not count later one.
