Help me remember an old NES game?

Question

Ok so the game I am trying to remember was somewhat obscure. It was an RPG game with really lousy graphics. At the beginning you had the choice of starting out as a knight, a warrior, or a valkyrie. You had to travel around a kingdom to different towns and inns and fight bad guys of course. The life meter was a candle on the right side of the screen. If any knows this game clue me in cuz I loved in spite of itself haha and cannot remember the name.
