  1. It is great  that you are searching for answers.  However, with a learning disability, retention of information goes beyond just diet.  However, two supplements that I have personally tried that are pure and effective are "Memory Optimizer" and "Mental Acuity Plus".  Clinical tests prove that exercising the mind and body, eating right, and the right dietary support can help improve cognitive function and memory.  See if you can find a Shaklee distributor in your area and they can get you the products.  But please search beyond the supplements and diet for your learning disability.  There is a very strong resource out there for LD people, and it is the National Institute for Learning Disabilities.  The NILD therapists help retrain the brain on how to process information correctly, based on medical science. It originated from the techniques used in helping stroke victims re-learn.  However, this is educational therapy and it helps with cognitive issues such as retaining information, etc....  It is never too late to get this help, even as an adult, even though most therapists may work with children, they can work with adults also.  You could contact www.nild.org and get their 800 number, and find a therapist in your area.---Hope this helps!
