Help me save text messages on my blackberry pearl?

i have a black berry pearl and for some reason all my text messages keep randomly deleting and i don't want them too. can anyone help? i'm so lost!

had this problem with mine too, first,  if you use the sleeve that comes with the phone, i had started to close the text messaging application before i put it in the sleeve. that worked most of the time. also, any applications i had downloaded to the phone itself( not music or pictures) I deleted off the phone, and now my texts haven't been deleted in almost a month. if that doesn't work , go to the phone company, i never got to that point , like i said, just deleting extra applications did the trick.

This is caused by the device having a low amount (or none at all) of memory. When the memory gets lower (lower than 12MB in some cases, although there is not a set number) the device will start deleting messages and/or call logs to conserve memory. You can check your available memory by going to Options > Status and checking the File Free parameter.

The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. Remove the battery from the device (while it is still powered on) for about 30 seconds, then reinsert. Also, look at the links below for ways to maximize the memory:
