Help me see the big picture...?

Apparently Russia tells the UK to stop military training in Georgia or it will be perceived as a declaration of war. (From an article on Drudge)...could this be the beginning of WW3? If the UK goes to war, wouldn't that mean the US would also? Would North Korea and China back Russia? Would China back Russia even though they rely on the US so much economically? What about Russia testing a nuke---apparently it can fly 6500 miles to the UK and wreck a 14 mile radius...what does 14 miles of nuke damage mean to the rest of the world? Is this a scare tactic? Would Russia actually do this? Will all of this scare people into voting for McCain? Is this all a way to get troops out of the Middle East? A HUGE conspiracy? Please enlighten me, I am an idiot.

The best solution to this problem is for Georgia to stop threatening to invade South Ossetia and for the west to stop helping them to do it. Russia is protecting the people of South Ossetia who, in a referendum, voted for independence. What would have happened to the US if other countries in the world stuck there noses in there business when they declared independence from England 230 years ago?

The west has got to stop forcing there beliefs on the rest of the world. let people in there corresponding countries, deal with there domestic issues they way they see fit

The big picture is all too clear, the US just can't leave well alone, they are trying to hem the Russians in and put missile bases along its borders. Reason ? So that they can invade Iran without interference from Russia. China will pass and sit this one out watching how Russia will beat the c**p out of Nato and the US. What makes me so agitated is that all this is so unnecessary.  for what? So that some oil co. can make more money at our expense ? Mark my words, Greed will eventually be the downfall of the US, Bush and Co. can fool the Americans once, twice but not all the time.

It's a scare tactic Russia is good about that. Although China is not that excited about Russia doing this after all the work they did to get the Olympics. I think China would be neutral at first. If they attack the British we are there as well it could lead to a wider war. Russia has always had ICBM that can reach the U.S. and certainly Britain.
