Question:

Help me spice up ugly clothes?

My dad wanted to save money, so I picked out some clothes on-line. Now that I've got them, though, they look really ugly. I could never wear them to school.

Here's what I have-boring pair of khakis, in both tan and pink. they aren't that bad, just boring. light blue turtleneck sweater-BORING and UNFASHIONABLE. really, really ugly pants-covered with giant light blue sun flowers. I also have the same pair in pink.

a butterfly skort that looks too childish for someone going into 7th grade. 2 pairs of plain jeans that aren't tight or skinny at all-just really, really wide. also a pair of yoga pants covered with tiny flowers.

HELP! They're so ugly!

I know I could just send them back, but does anyone have any ideas on how to save them? They're okay really-just way too childish and/or ugly to wear to school.

I'm willing to glue stuff on, cut them, etc.

But I need help!

  1. not to be rude, but almost all of what u described is a lost cause. just send them back.

however the jeans have SOME promise. u could cut them and make them shorts. however when doing that, u should make sure u don't make them look like u belong on a farm. make sure they're cut short, but not too short.

also try destroying them, make rips, bleach them, etc.

where did u buy these clothes from?

abercrombie.com has abercrombie kids as a link go there. they have great things for school.

ill give u a couple of ideas for a back to school outfit.

    top -  http://www.abercrombiekids.com/webapp/wc...

    white

    bottom - http://www.abercrombiekids.com/webapp/wc...

    extreme dark

    light

as for shoes, id go with flip flops until it gets cold. id say get abercrombie flip flops b/c they are made well and are very laid back.

in the winter wear sneakers like puma or diesel. if ur only going to get one pair of expensive sneakers, get them in black or something dark. it'll go with more outfits.

  2. They don't seem THAT bad! remember vintage and retro is REALLY in style right now.

Okay I've made you several outfits.

    Turtleneck: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=33581...

These incorporate some things you already have, and some you could get for cheap at Old Navy or Target most likely.

    Khakis: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=33585...

    Spice it up with accessories!

  3. Joanns Fabrics is the store for you :3

You can cut the capris into shorts, then iron a cuff.

You can cut some tops into trendy off-the-shoulder tops, or a sleeveless turtleneck.

  4. For the turtleneck, cut off the neck and cut it under the collar bone and a little off the shoulders. If it's long sleeved, cut it at the crease of your arms so it's like a quarter sleeve.

  5. well all i can really say is that anyone can pull anything off if they have the confidence ya know? but i understand. umm do you have any you know that can sew ?? you can turn your flare jeans into skinny ones. and whith the light blue turtle neck..  humm try adding some cute accesories  .  maybe  a really cute girl tie. i think ties are suuper cute on girls. just play around with your clothes and see if you like it
