when ever i tee off the ball always go's strait to start with but then fades to the right i have been playing the slice and aiming left but i want to fix the problem . I've been told that the only reason a shot will fade to the right is because the club face is open @ impact but there are lots of reasons why i would be open eg. grip, address , swing i have tried adjusting all of the above but nothing has worked what else should i try before investing in some lessons . i would like to fix it before i have to resort to that.

  1. There are 4 reasons why a shot will fade, or go to the right.

-1- Like you mentioned, the club face is open at impact.

-2-You are coming across your line, meaning you are swinging from outside your target line to inside your target line. This means that, even though your clubface is square with the target at impact, your shoulders are open and you are swinging across your line, which will then generate side spin (cut spin).

-3-The wind is blowing left to right.

-4-You are doing a combination of the above.

Like the previous responder mentioned; since we do not know what your swing looks like, any advice would be like a shotgun approach. However, since you stated that the ball starts straight but then fades (and not just slicing from the start), there is a good chance you are swinging across your target line with the club face still square with the target.

Check if you are taking the club too far outside from the take away.

  2. Slow your swing down and rotate your wrists during your downswing, so that the club face is square at the point of impact.

  3. You have already considered the one answer that will give you what you seek.  The Only way to correct swing flaws is lessons and practice.  Nobody here can see what is actually causing your swing flaw or flaws.  Tips from here are nothing short of a shotgun approach at best.

  4. assuming your right handed, try turning your left hand to the right just a little bit.  i tried this, and it helped my slice =)

  5. why dont you try just playing the slice?

Some players are Fade players and some players are Draw players.
