to say they will never have an abortion. If 'conservatives' get their way and outlaw abortion like Governor Palin would like to see happen, what happens to the choice for pro-choice people? Why do republicans want to take my ability to choose away in favor of their religious and moral beliefs that they want to impose upon me?

  1. You're definition of "choice" is peculiar. Our laws have nothing to do with choice. You can choose to kill, to steal, to rape, whatever you want to do. Our laws have to do with consequences of choices. The vast majority of our laws are based upon morality. When you throw morality out the window - we become simple animals. You can say "Well then base our laws upon not encroaching upon other's rights." That's fine. We "pro-lifers" simply believe that you are encroaching upon the rights of an unborn child. You "pro-choicers" believe that the unborn child has no rights. We don't want to take away your ability to chose - God gave that to you. We simply want to make the laws of our land protect unborn children from your choice to kill the unborn child. Just like we want our laws to protect people from rapists making the choice to rape - or thieves making the choice to steal. Our laws must protect the innocent by enforcing penalties for bad decisions or our society will revert to chaos.

  2. You falsely assume all those who might classify themselves as "pro-life" are religious.

    I am not.

But I am not strictly "pro-life" either.  But nether am I "Pro-Choice."

Also, not every "pro-lifer" believes all abortions should be made illegal.  Some think early term abortions should still be allowed.

But those who think human life begins at conception & want to force that belief on you are also likely to be the same folks who wish this was a theocrisy.

Just don't lump us all in that catagory.

  3. republicans are hypocrites. They want MORE government involvement, but only in the lives of OTHER people, not their own.

  4. why are 'pro choice' people anti choice when it comes to guns, taxes, etc.?

  5. We've already seen what happens when abortions are made completely illegal. People get them anyways. They get crooked doctors, they get people posing as doctors, they get people who have no idea what they're doing digging around inside them in a back alley, or they try to do it themselves. Worse comes to worse, the newborn baby is discarded.

I don't think they will ever be made completely illegal in this country though. The best compromise would be to determine when a fetus develops a functioning brain, then say that you can not have an abortion after that. What makes us human is our brain after all. Without that we're just a container of cells. And do whatever it takes to stop unwanted pregnancies in the first place.

  6. I don't think abolishing abortion is seriously on the cards of any party.

  7. The choice become to either:

A - Keep in in your pants

    B - Raise it

C - Put it up for adoption.  "Unwanted" is a liberal lie.  Prospective parents are on waiting lists to adopt.

  8. government should stay out of your home and life... unless I don't like your morals and then it should outlaw everything you want to do that I don't agree with...

the party of liberty and freedom...hahaha

  9. Republicans always feel they know best.....they could care less about your or my choice...and to think it will now be an issue this election....we are taking a huge step back

  10. What will happen will be what women did before Roe vs Wade.....they'll do it anyway....but more women will die due to dirty back-alley conditions.

Abortions won't end.....women have been aborting babies since the beginning of time....and they will continue to have abortions whether it's legal or not.

  11. Let's take it one more step...how can anyone force me into something based on a philosophy I do not accept as valid?  Add to that, they also force their views on when life begins. I'd like to know how Christians would handle it if the Muslim faith attained enough power to have their choices taken away from them.  That would be interesting.

  12. i guess you may want to start being responsible for your own actions instead of having obama chasing your unwanted baby around the delivery room trying to kill it.

  13. Governor Palin never said that she would outlaw abortions.
