Help me understand to do with a E-ticket for a plane flight?

This is my first time buying a E-ticket online for my flight. What do I have to do when I get to the airport. I heard there somekind of machine you get your ticket from, where is this machine and what do I next with it? I was really wondering..some help would be great!

just take your E-ticket and go to your airline check in , that's it !!! you dont need to get another ticket !

Your E ticket will indicate if you have to still check-in but if not you have to check in and do baggage check and so on.  so really the only real purpose they serve is like a receipt. No real big help.
