  1. have them make shoes for nike!

  2. check out familyfun.com

They usually have lots of fairly easy ideas and even themes!

  3. These sites have lots of activities all divided up by topic/theme.  I know many of them say they are for preschool, but I have used several with kindergarten aged students and it went fine.  Hope it helps.

  4. I have lots of cousins and when I babysit several at a time I like to have them make up their own stories: "silly story swiss cheese"... I call it that because I'll start telling a story and leave holes for them to fill in; we sit in a circle and they all take turns. It takes up lots of time, keeps everyone busy, and creates tons of laughs!

Also kids love card games. You can get decks of cards at the dollar store and teach them to play some simple games like go fish or a matching game

You can also have some *drumroll* THEME DAYS!! Try Hawaiian day and have the kids limbo and create hawaiian names for themselves using the hawaiian alphabet (13 letters) Here are some other theme ideas:

    - 4th of July themed

    - "Carnival" or Circus

    - Magic day (teach some simple magic tricks)

    - Spy kids (set up a scavenger hunt)

    - Masquerade mania (kids make their own masks)

    - Color themed days (choose a color like blue or red and tell kids to wear that color, serve snacks that color, have some simple decorations, etc)

    - Guinness Book of World Records (set up some little competitions like hula hoop, jump rope, jacks, 20 yd dash and have little prizes or stickers for the winners)

  5. stories.

  6. I ran a puppet camp last year and it was a great time.  But that takes a lot of time and preperation.  You may be able to find a puppetry guild in your area where a member may be interested in helping you get started on it.

http://www.puppeteers.org/   is the Puppeteers of America web site if you are interested.

Myspace would also be a good thing to look through to find people in your area that can help you out.

  7. -Get a book of theatre games. Usually in such books there are hundreds of choices and you can modify them to fit your kids' interests. These games are great for building self-esteem, teamwork, public speaking skills, sharing, and other character education ideals.

-Make suncatchers for hospitalized children and then arrange a field trip to deliver them. They can pick out the suncatcher they want, paint it, and attach a homemade card to it for the child who recieves it.
