it just plops down and stays where it is... its a baby.. but like i said before its already big about 8 inches long..

well i grabed it with gloves and took it to my back yard.. i gave it bread in water..

its still in my back yard and i want to keep it there until it gets better so it can swim and i can let it loose...

what type of shelter should i make for it??? its in a bush.. its getting a bit wet since its still raining.. but i dont want it to get sick or something..... please help

  1. ducks love water.. i have a mallard named donald and when it rains he stays out in his pool the whole time..i would build him a house to go in,(my duck has a old dog house for shelter) that is sheltered from the rain  so when you give him food it wont get wet.. if you have a local farm store they might be able to help you with the food..(since i cant remember what kind it was that i used to give my duck who is now about 4 years old or more) good luck..also by the way i love your name and im a bit of a hippie too.. sorry im nosy

  2. In a triangular box with a hole in the front for the duck to enter and exit. Put straw on bottom of box. Make out of wood laying around. If you have leftover shingles then put them on roof...or tar paper or tack a black plastic bag over long sides. What do you intend to feed it? go to local feed mill and get feed called "scratch". Good Luck! ♥

I have raised many a duck.

  3. make like a house for it put food in front of it
