Help me with my English problem please?

I understand what (to have , having , had.)

But can one of you explain (to have had?) I really don't get it.

Education me please, thank you.

  1. 'To have' means to own, and 'To Have Had' means you used to own it, like in the past.

    "I have a lollipop" means you now have the lollipop.

    "I have had a lollipop" means that you had it before, but do not have it now.

  2. "have had" is past perfect.

    Such as:

    "I have had a headache since this morning."


  3. to have had means previously you had something. ie say you used to/previously owned a pet. you have had a pet. i hope that makes sense. I guess now i think about it the English language is pretty confusing
