I did it on plants and did some research if music had an affect on their growth and it was pretty easy :)

I recorded how much each plant grew depending on the type of music.

Effect of the speed of cooling on the crystal growth of Alum (or Copper Sulfate or several other chemicals)

A chemical is dissolved in very hot water until no more will dissolve. Then portions of the solution are cooled at different rates and the size and quality of the crystals is observed. The quicker the cooling the smaller and lower quality the crystals should be. But there might be complications like supercooling and other things.
