Help me with my camera settings please!!!!

I am going to the WWE event tonight in Atlanta.Everytime I go and take pictures they always come out fuzzy or grainy.I have a kodak p 850 easyshare camera 5.1 pegapixel with 12X zoom which setting should i use for lights,dark,movement??

  1. Sounds like you have a decent camera. The ISO setting is a throback to the "Film" era. It simulates how sensitive to light the cameras sensor is. A high ISO-800 and up is used in low light setting but has the grain effect to it. Below 800 is primarily used for well light subject and brings out the true colors. ISO-400 is considered to be normal.

    Your camer settings for the event, on manual will be difficult . The best thing to do is play outside as it strats to get dark and see how the loss of light plays on the settings. It is best to record your settings and refer back to them. It looks like you have that feature on the camera but I find that cumbersome to look for.  


  2. If you can throw it into manual mode you want to keep the shutter speed to a really quick shutter to get rid of the blur.

    The grainy comes from the ISO being to high, again you can control this in manual mode.

    Also,  just becuase you have a 12X zoom doesn't mean it's actually 12X. One of my cameras, a Canon SD1000, has a 10X zoom but only 3X of that is optical, all the camera is doing after that is cropping it to look more zoomed in.
