  1. Congratulations on your excellent grades.  In selecting your classes, you'll want to consult with your advisor or guidance counselor in order to ensure that you take courses which fulfill all of your new school's requirements.

For the best chances with entering a premedical program, advanced courses in biology, chemistry, and mathematics are always recommended, if your school offers them.  Keep in mind that college admissions officers consider not only which courses that you took, but which courses were avaiable to you.  In other words, they will not hold it against you that you didn't take biology 2 honors if your school doesn't offer this.

Also, be sure to take some fun courses, as well.  It's high school; it shouldn't all be about the studying, but also about exploring your personal interests.  Furthermore, college admissions officers like to see that you have interests in subjects besides just the academic ones.  Taking some courses in art, music, drama, sports, and so forth, will not hurt your chances of admission.
