Help me with my lens!!!!?

Question

i just got a wide angle conversion lens for my Sony handycam....how's that going to improove my image...and what does it do......how can i get the best out of it????

It basically just makes angles a lot wider :^~

It's not going to improve the image quality and it could easily make it worse.  The effect of the lens is to zoom out, as if you're stepping back from whatever you're videoing.  If it's an extreme wide angle it'll introduce distortions  - look for pictures taken with a "fish-eye" lens if you want examples.  Some people use that distortion deliberately, or you can use the lens when it's not possible to get far enough away from your subject.
