right i have a nintendo ds lite that has been pretty much abused, both hinges are snapped and washing up liquid soaked through the start+select buttons - making the touch screen a non-responsive on the bottom right hand side.

if i get a replacement touch screen/top lcd screen and shell - then put the inside parts of the broken ds into it, is it likely to work or will i need replacement components for underneath the touch screen?

thankyouuuu ♥

  1. well chances are that more things got damaged than just the touch screen maybe the circuits burned out with the liquid falling in and you may have to pay more for parts go to ebay and type Nintendo DS parts other wise just go and buy a used one or new

  2. By the time you replace the touch screen and all of the components underneath the touch screen you would have spent more than it would cost to buy a completely new DS Lite.

There is no point in trying to fix your old one because you could end up damaging it further. Just go for buying a new one for 130 bucks. It's 190 if you live in Australia.
