Question:

Help me with my tumbling!?

Okay so I have been in gymnastics for about 6 or 7 years and cheerleading for about..4. and i am good at tumbling but when i was younger i was learning a back walkover and i got dropped on my head ): haha and so ever since then i have been behind on my tumbling and could never do anything backward because i am so afraid. i can't even do a back walkover and at my level that's kind of sad. but i want to do a back handspring SO BAD its not even funny. can anyone help me with this? i can't even do it on the trampoline and that's where i want to do it..so any advice?

  1. I know what you mean. I got dropped on my head while I was learning to do back handsprings. For a while, I wouldn't do it because I was so scared that I would land on my head again. I'll tell you what my coach told me

    Its all in your head. You know how to do the back handspring now you just have to do it. Stop thinking about it so much. Just do it.

    And I did. I didn't even think about it. My body had been trained so much on how to do a handspring that it pretty much did it on its own.

    I know this is obvious, but you just have to make yourself do it. end of story. there is no other way. nothing you can work on in order to get it. you just have to do it
