  1. 10 [9 (2 + 4) - 6 x 2]

    P=brackets- 9 (2+4) - 6 x 2

    P= parentheses- 2+4 which gives you: 9(6) - 6x2 (parentheses around one number means to multiply)

    M= multiply LEFT TO RIGHT. 54 - 12

    S= subtract- 42 now you can move outside of the brackets which means to multiply 10 and 42 which gives you 420

  2. 420

  3. Next time, show your work. Otherwise we can't figure out why you can't do the prolems!

    first do the stuff in the parens --

    10 [9(6)-6x2]

    now the multiplication IN the brackets

    10[64-12]

    You finish!

  4. 10[9(2+4)-6x2]

              ^

    10[9 (6)-6x2]

       10[(54)-12]

          10[42]=

    420
