Help me with the card game please!?

Question

there's this card game that i used to play (i think it's a 2 person game) and these are the only rules i can remember: you start out with like 4 cards and each round a different card is the 'wild card' (in the first round it's the ace, the second round its the 2... and so on) and with each progressing round, you are dealt 1 more card than the previous round. I don't remember the name or how you play (i think the rules might be similar to rummy), could someone please help me out? Thank you!

Sounds very similar to the game Three-Thirteen or the commercial game named Five Crowns.
