if a>0, state the values of n such that (-a)[exponent is n]=-a[exponent is n]

  1. the exponent must be an odd number, like 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.

    Ex:  (-2)^3 = -8  and -2^3 = -8


  2. I'm guessing your question is -a^n=a^n.

    The values of n can either be a 0 or any even number since anything to the power of 0 gives you one and anything to the power of an even number will remove the negative sign. for example, -2^2=4 and 2^2=4. Cheers!
