okay i just have a question. If a man named elliot is 58 years old, what expression should i write for the number of years by which elliots age exceeds that of his daughter who is [y] years old.

Also, If his daughter is 25, how much older is Elliot?

Another one: A tree grows 5 inches each year.

What expression would I write for the tree's height after x years.

??

And last, When the tree is 36 years old, how tall will it be?

  1. I SUCK AT MATHHHHHHH

  2. 58-y=56

    58-25=33

    5x X=15

    5x36=180

  3. for the first one

    x=58-y and x stands for how much older he is

    elliot would be 33 years older

    the tree one

    y=5x

    y=5*36 or  y=180
