Help me would this work?

help i found two ring's im my car park i put a poster for 1 week up but no one clamed it ... so greedly i pawnd it only to find out that it was my GF best freinds rings ... and she thinks it was stolen and reported it to the police... also i cant tell her i have sold emm she will think i stole emm and ill lose my gf

right got the ring's back if i go to the police stashion and hand them in to the one were she reported it then it should be ok yes ???? or will thay still look for me ... have to wait till tomorro to do that tho

Ok,

You got them back.  Tell your girlfriend what happened and that you paid the cost of getting them back.  She should see this as good.  If not, then either she has issues or parts of the story are missing from this post.

Either way, yes take them into the police dept.  Tell them the truth and if you have a receipt from the pawn shop give them a copy of that as well.  It would support your story and give you more credibility.

Let this be a lesson about greed - it only leads to misery.  Yes, take the rings to the police and tell them the whole story and take the pawn ticket if you have it and take a copy of the poster you put up.  Be clear and concise about the details as to how and where you found the rings.  

Then come clean with your girlfriend.  That might not help, but it is worth a try.

Take the rings to the police and explain the complete truth to them. It is very doubtful that you will be charged with theft if you're honest about how the rings came into your possession.

Trying to hide the truth is what could cause you a problem.
