  1. Get her into sports and stuff. Softball is a good one. (My sister plays it.) That's all you really can do.

  2. thats about what i weigh now (after loosing 20 lbs) but i also weighed that when i was 13 and i'm almost 15...and i'm overweight. she is overweight, she is borderline obease. snacks should be maybe one a day, with veggies and fruits. she also needs to get more active. if she doesnt wanna do things in public invest in a wii and a wii fit, i've lost 20 lbs doing wii fit and cutting down my calories. weight watchers has also helped and my mom lost 40 lbs on that.

edit. and by the way, i'm taller than your daughter, i'm 5 "8" almost 5 "9" so.

  3. don't worry she's fine.

  4. get her into sports

  5. wats wrong wit being a giant. let her ply basketball than she can make it to wnba and make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 4 u and her. its a positive thing

  6. Get her into a sport. If she's borderline type 2, and she eats healthy foods, then she's lacking exercise. I don't really like sports, but some that I enjoy are:

    Swimming

    Indoor volleyball

    Tennis.

Check out any YMCA or community pools/gyms in your area. Get her moving!

  7. Encourage her to play outside so she can get some exercise and make sure she mostly eats healthy foods. Limit the visits to fast food restaurants if you don't already.

  8. Well she is not the only one. My cousin is 10 soon to be 11 and he is already 5'11. His older brothers (17 & 19) are 7 foot. I think she will be okay though!

  9. At her weight she should have no snacks per day except celery or raw carrots.

Her excessive weight could be the cause of the diabetes.

  10. Just ask the doctor if her height is okay, and ask for a diet plan from the doctor, or for a nutritionist's number. She may just be big, is anyone in your family extra big? It could be genetics or something. Just to let you know, I am older than her, and weigh 70 pounds less, so ya I would say she is extra big. I hope this helps!

P.S. Make sure you are not giving her a complex, by telling her she is big a lot, or something like that. You may laugh, but it could happen!

  11. 5'6" is average for a girl. She will grow probably a few more inches and even if she does reach close to 6' it is no big deal. Tall girls are good too and they aren't considered giants.

  12. I would check for a tumor on her gland that produce hormones that make you grow. It is deep in the brain. This is very rare, but if untreated she could die. It is very unlikely though.

She is overweight, and I would try to help her lose weight. If you have a dog, you, your daughter, and the dogs should start going for walks or dogs.

Make sure that her snacks are healthy ones too. I would talk to her doctor about healthy dieting.

    Hope I helped! :-)

  13. Don't worry about it.

When a girl is about to hit she will gain lots of weight in her stomach.

Then all of a sudden the weight turns into height.

And they loose all this weight. but they loose more they gained.

Meaning she is about to start puberty.

Thats what my doctor told me.

About 4 months after I went to the doctor I lost almost 50 pounds!

    50 in 4 months.

    Most ever.

    It was unbelievable.

  14. Note to above... it is the pituitary gland that secretes growth hormones and this usually occurs when a tumor is growing on it stimulating it to over secrete. I do NOT think this is what this girl has. That leads to Giantism and only influences the length of long bones to the extent the muscles and being stretched beyong their limits. It is not like this girl is 6 feet tall already. All kids grow, some more/sooner than others... and that is what she is doing. Her pre-diabetes could be causing the weight gain, and other things like thyroid and metabolism can affect weight. Do not cut out all of the snacks, just help her choose healthy ones! Food does not have to be a bad forbidden thing!!

  15. Have they checked her thyroid?  This kind of thing can be a symptom of thyroid tumors or problems, although I don't know much about how they affect children.

  16. 1. get her to exercise more

    2. it's fine if she's tall. and for that height, it's not that over weight.

    3. Periods at 11 is odd. don't worry

    4. You're deluding yourself if she's that weight and doesn't have b*****s yet

    5. does she KNOW your putting this on the net?

  17. to WHOEVER said this was fake; If you thought this was fake, why would you respond. what if it was real and you ended up hurting someone's feelings?

but just try getting her to exercise and eat healthy and maybe she will grow into her weight. But make sure to continue the visits to the doctor.

  18. My friend had a daughter that sounds just like yours. She did stop growing at about 13. She is tall for a girl, but not freakishly tall. She's about 5' 8" and weighs probably 180. She's a good athlete, and got used to being taller than the other girls. Don't worry about it, if the doctors don't think there is something hormonally wrong with your daughter, she's probably just getting her growth early and will stop when other girls are starting. She'll be taller than a lot of girls her whole life from the sounds of it. That doesn't mean she'll be a giant. Don't focus on her size in front of her though--you don't want to give her low self-esteem!!!

  19. Thats scary

  20. she could have diabetees did you check her for that if she does i do too so contact me if you need any help.
