Help my Oscar's fin ripped!!?

Question

i had a small Oscar in a tank with a convict cichlid and the cichlid started attacking the Oscar and ripped his tail fin. i took the cichlid out of the take and hes going back to the store but will the Oscar be alright??

convict cichlids are extremely peaceful if u keep them by his/herself, in fact they become very mellow and skittish(easy to get afraid of something like tapping on window), and if ur convict messed with ur oscar like this and theyre both same size, then thats really weird, they convicts  get beat up easily if they havent bred at least once in their life, so if u want ur oscar and convict together, get a convict that hasnt bred yet, with ur oscar in the same tank but watch them now, the convict will get all his fins shattered by the oscar

he will be fine as long as the convict is gone...i wouldn't recommend these fish together at all...one thing to look forward to is that the tail fin will grow back with a little bit of time to make sure it grows back fully do weekly water changes and keep everything perfect...should grow back in a few weeks
