Help my USB flash drive became too slow last month

I installed fresh copy of windows xp and scanned for viruses { no viruses were found } but still too slow (moving 2 gb files may take 6 minutes)

*pentium 4 3.2 ghz with 2 gb ram

  1. is it the the usb port your using for your flash drive isn't the fast slot.  I know my pc says for faster storage use the other port.  either that or maybe the fd is the one that is slow what software is the drive, what gig?


  2. did u install all mainboard drivers such usb2 drivers?

    u must install all driver that about bus speed or usb in device manager.

  3. Check usb connection and keep all ports clean (blower or spray )
