i left my baby in her playmat to the toilet and only like 5 minutes later i found out she was all over her cream-nappy-rash (Sudocream), Im not sure she did eat it / swallow it, but all her hands and clothes and the mats full of the cream. I tried to smell her mouth but I couldn't be sure that is the smell of the cream.

help, what should I do from here? what could be happened? will she be all right? she is nearly 8 months old.

  1. I think that first you should smell the cream on the floor and then compare it to the smell of your baby's mouth, and if you're still in doubt then take her to the doctor right way.I really don't know what if anything is harmful in the cream but the doctor should probably know.

  2. She'll probably be fine, but I'd still call a poison help line or poison center just to double check.

I probably don't need to say this, but it's good that she only got into nappy cream and not something else.  5 minutes is a long time for a baby to be on her own and 7 month old babies can be very mobile and fast.  They'll eat things that taste horrible and will put almost anything in their mouth. Next time you have to go out of the room, perhaps you can take her with you.

    God bless you.

  3. Any time you are unsure of if its toxic or not call poison control.  They will tell you what you need to know.  The number used to be 1-800-POISON-1

  4. You should look up online if its toxic or not. If it is, then call the poison control center.

  5. I agree with the other person that said call poison control!  They are there to help with these situations!

  6. Ah my kids have gotten into many things when younger. She should be fine. If you notice a change in her, then see a doctor, but for now, just give her some water.
