Question:

Help! my bearded dragon wont eat anything and will barely move!!...?

hes 6-7 years old and ive tried giving him water, crickets, and lettuce but he wont eat anything and if he does move he drags one of his front legs...is there anything i can do to make it eat or is it dying of old age..?

  1. Your beardie will be fine as long as you get him to a vet ASAP. This is most likely from impaction. Their legs tend to drag when impacted and they will not move. Give your beardie a warm bath and take him to the vets. The warm water will help him.


  2. Have you been keeping a UV light on him?  It might be a deficieny with that.  Usually impaction causes the hind legs to drag.  Its best to call a reptile vet ASAP though.  They usually live some years longer than that so it shouldn't be old age.

  3. Make sure you have a UVB light. it cant just be UV it has to be UVB, i had a beardie that died due to that, killed me inside that i made that small of a mistake that killed my first pet. Good Luck though.
