  1. Have him go to traffic school.  It will stay off his record that way.

  2. Taking a ticket to court is no big deal.  The worst that will happen is you'll have to pay court costs on top of your ticket.  If the officer doesn't show, the ticket gets dismissed.  If your bf has a clean driving record, he can claim the policeman slowed down and as soon as your bf got close, decided to pull him over for tailgating.  The judge could feel it was a baiting tactic and dismiss the ticket.  If your bf has other violations, don't bother, pay the ticket and get on with life.

  3. your b/f is an idiot with a small peni, he should go to jail

  4. The courts take a dim view of defenders wasting scarce courtroom time and tend to "reward" such defenders with stiffer sentences.

If your bf is guilty then pay up now.

If he is not guilty, then he will need proof; no proof, no case; no case, possibly no freedom!

Frankly, if your bf is stupid enough to tailgate anyone, let alone a police officer, then he deserves all the court throws at him. Tail-gating is highly dangerous to all parties concerned.

On second thoughts, tell him to go to Court. That way, with luck, your bf will either lose his freedom or his licence (or both). Either way, the roads will be that little bit safer to drive on.

  5. He wouldn't get probation. That's way excessive. But wrong is wrong. If he tailgated and got busted, he might as well pay the ticket. He wouldn't be able to present any evidence that he wasn't tailgating, and you said yourself he was. He should definately take responsibility and learn from it.

  6. probation is unlikely, pending on his age, if he is a minor he will probaly just get a fine and mandatory court appearance, If he is an adult, probably just a fine. He can take it to court if he wants but chances are he wont get anywhere but  a court cost fine.

  7. umm no..sorry sweetie he was in the wrong..and is lucky the police officer wasn't extremely pissed that he was tailgateing him....and that he only got a ticket..so i suggest just paying it..<3

  8. No, he should get two tickets, One for tailgating, and one for being an idiot.

Talgating is a STUPID thing to do, especially a cop, I hope he goes to jail ^_^

  9. He won't get probation haha. But yes, he should take it to court. Also subpena the officer. Chances are he won't show and he'll get out of it :) Good luck!

  10. Yes take it to court and act real stupid and yell at the judge too!

  11. dumb *** get glasses

  12. Maybe he needs glasses!?!  Didn't he see the car with all the lights and antennas!?!  Not a bright thing to do.  Pay the fine--he'll lose the case and p**s off the judge.

  13. It's true he should get a ticket for being an idiot.  If the cop didn't give him one, then maybe you should.  Do you need a guy that is dumb enough to tailgate a police car?  I mean, seriously!  Or do you not have enough problems yet?

PS:  It's HIS court appearance, not yours.  Nothing for YOU to get scared about.  Let him take what is coming to him.  If he learns from it, fine.

  14. YEAH, go to court. Maybe you will see the guy who is telling the judge that even though he was doing 85MPH, made an unsafe lane change (to go around some idiot going the speed limit) that resulted in an accident, it's the fault of the guy going the speed limit. (I LOVE THOSE CLOWNS)

  15. no..........pay the ticket....
