He's just scuttling about. He can't seem to get back on his perch, where he usually is. What's wrong? He's about 18 years old.

  1. hes very old congrats for having him so longfloor then this is a really bad sign as they dont normally show signs of illness unless they are seriously ill get him to a vet and see if theres anything they can do. untill then keep him warm which is all u can really do.

if hes sitting on the floor (after the word long. sorry wasnt expecting it to delete the other words)

  2. That is a very old teil, he may be coming to the natural end of his life, but in any case you need to take him to an avain vet right away and see if he can be helped. Birds when sick go downhill very fast, and are usually very ill by the time they begin showing symptoms. keep him warm and get to the vet, good luck.

  3. does not sound too good I would take him to the vet but you should prepare yourself for the worse, sorry to say.

  4. I would call an avian vet immediately!!  Cockatiels are gound feeders but if he is not acting normal, please call a vet or take him in!

  5. Your bird if its a female might want to make a nest and lay eggs because I put shavings on the ground for my tiel and she laid eggs.

  6. Go to vet asap
