  1. It's best to take her to the vet to get some antibiotics or medicines made specially for birds.I have owned parrots and parakeets for over 40 years and going to the vet has always helped get me the best information on how to care for my birds! Birds hide the severity of their illnesses so it's always best to see the vet. You cockatiel may have a cold, infection,or allegies;only a vet can tell you the right thing to do.

  2. dont call to the vet go there!!!!birds easly hide deseases so taKe it to the vet uNleSs  u want a dead bird

  3. As soon as there is a snot type thing coming from the nose you should immediately take it to the vet.  Birds lungs are very small and can't deal with illnesses that affect the lungs.  The vet should give you some antibiotics.

  4. Call your vet.

  5. Discharge releasing from a cockatiel's snares are always a sign that a cockatiel is sick.

Your cockatiel is not showing any signs of vulnerability because of its natural instincts. If a wild cockatiel was indicating signs of being sick, what would you think will happen?

I suggest you go to your local avianist and consult him or her about this unnatural discharge. It could be your cockatiel has the "bird flu"
