Help!!! my cockatiel!!!!?

my girl cockatiel had laid eggs last month and none hatched but i just checked and their is an extra one is this normal or if its not what do i do help this is the first time i mate my cockatiel

DO NOT TOUCH THE EGGS!!! I had lovebirds and the female laid an egg, i got too overwhelmed and i started handling the egg and it never hatched. The eggs are really fragile and you might accidently shake up the insides and kill the baby inside. Provide a nest box and nesting material for your bird and just let her do all the work.

Um wait. Is there a boy cockatiel involved?

If there isn't, give your cockatiel about a month with those eggs, and then she'll eventually lose interest and you can remove them. Let her guard them. It's common behavior with female parrots to lay eggs - with or without a mate.

If a male is involved, follow the other poster's advice, and make a nest of sorts so she can care for her babies. :) Good luck!
