Help my cousin please! Thank you so much!

Question

My cousin's in 8th grade and she is really upset and is crying at everything because her parents suddenly decided that she has to be natural. She can't straighten her hair, use gel, hairspray, anything at all. She can't wear any makeup either. She has glasses but she has dark circles under her eyes (not from lack of sleep her doctor said it's something else.) so when she wears contacts you can see the circles. What should she do?

If I were her I would ask my parents why they suddenly decided this.  If I had to I would have a friend keep my make up and put it on at least under my eyes after I got to school.  Sounds as though they know she is growing up and hormones are kicking in and are afraid to let her experience life.  It is sad.  Tell her to pray and ask God for her parent s to at least meet her 1/2 way.  She needs the dark cicles treated if it is truely something else and can be treated.   It is okay to be natural.  There are many girls that are beautiful that way.  But I see she doesnt like this and I understand.  Pray and Pray.

What? That's the most bizzare thing I've ever heard - weird - anyway - well if she's only in 8th grade she's more than likely going to have to obey her parents - it's just something she's going to have to get used to - best of luck to you and her...
